Dr. Saira Soomro is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Distance Continuing & Computer Education, Faculty of Education, University of Sindh, Elsa Kazi Campus, Hyderabad. She has more than 20 years of experience. She holds a Ph.D. in Education with a focus on Web 2.0 in teacher education, as well as an M.Phil. in Education and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science. Throughout her academic journey, she has consistently achieved top positions, earning multiple Gold and Silver Medals for her performance in her B.C.S., B.Ed., and M.Ed. programs. Her professional expertise is centered on educational technology, blended learning, and curriculum development. Dr. Soomro has been deeply involved in several USAID-funded projects, where she served as a coordinator and developed curricula for various teacher education programs, including courses on teaching methods, test evaluation, and reading. Beyond her teaching tenure, she has been extensively involved in curriculum development and research initiatives funded by international organizations such as USAID. She also worked as a Master Trainer for the Reading Project, USAID. Furthermore, she has expanded her professional horizons through international training in E-Learning and teacher development in SriLanka and the Philippines.
